  Welcome
Thank you for visiting my homepage! I am a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science external link at University of Toronto external link. I am a member of the Database Group external link under the supervision of Prof. Nick Koudas external link.

  Research Interests
My research interests are primarily in the area of architecture-conscious data management. The objective of my research is to improve the performance of basic data processing operations by leveraging the performance characteristics of modern hardware architectures (chip-multiprocessors, solid-state drives). Currently, my focus is on designing algorithms for query and text processing tailored to CMP architectures. Other research interests include the design of query processing and indexing techniques tailored to flash-based storage systems as well as the energy-efficiency of data management systems. More about my research can be found here external link.
