| Research Interests |
| |
My research interests are primarily in the area of architecture-conscious data management. The objective of my research is to improve the performance of basic operations in database systems and information retrieval by exploiting the performance characteristics of modern hardware architectures (chip-multiprocessors, solid state drives). Currently, my focus is on designing algorithms for query and text processing tailored to CMP architectures. Other research interests include the design of query processing and indexing techniques tailored to flash-based storage systems as well as architecture-conscious algorithms for data mining.
