I was born on 22nd of September at Balotra,
a small town in Rajasthan (INDIA). By the time I completed my high-school, I have been to 3 different
schools: Mother Teresa Secondary School, Balotra (till VI), BRJD Public School,Bhorugram (Churu)
(till X) and Emmanual Mission School, Kota.
I have completed my undergraduate degree at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
The 4 years of undergraduate studies at IIT Bombay are unforgettable, specially: the late-night tea with friends,
hours long pointless gossips, coffee-shack meetings, group treats,
walk between the hostel and the CS department, movies on a 17'' screen and the exciting cricket matches.
Presently, I am a first year graduate student at the Dept of Computer Science,
University of Toronto.
My research interests include data cleaning, fuzzy matching and keyword search over databases.
My advisor is Prof. Nick Koudas
and I am a member of the Database Group at UofT.
Talking about my other interests, I like listening to Hindi songs (specially Kishore, Rafi and A. R. Rahman),
watching movies (prefer Hindi/Korean), and hiking. I also like to visit new places and I wish to travel whole of India
as well as Europe.
